I am laid out before you, yet I do not sleep. I carry your steps, and the secrets you keep. I can be tiled, polished, or carpeted soft, Always holding you up as you gaze up aloft.

I can be smoked, I’ll make you feel pretty funny. Calling the kettle black is my MO, honey! I’m used in the kitchen too, to help prepare what you eat. Stir and keep watch, while I sit over the open heat.

I am born from a spark and fed by a fuse, A colorful spectrum of light you can use. I rumble like thunder and bloom in the night, Painting the darkness with showers of light. I reach for the heavens, then burst into flame, Yet smoke is the only thing left in my name.
